  • Root Beer Falls plunging over the hard rock
  • Sold rock stretching to each side

Shortly after draining out a rock tunnel from Sunday Lake, Planter Creek flows over a small rock ridge to form a small yet sudden drop in a scenic wooded scene. There is an old dump on the west side of the creek that may offer some interesting sights along the way.

Directions

From the light at US-2/M-28, head north on 28 for 1.3 miles to Thomaston Road. Drive a few dozen yards down Thomaston and park on the right side of the road at the open clearing. Head down to Plantar Creek and follow it downstream to the falls. There is an old dump in the area, which is interesting to check out but may have some sharp objects near it.
