Rushing Waters of Carp River

The Carp River has a rather… stinky… route. Deer Lake has been closed off from fishing for decades due to mercury. Old mining leaches metals into the water near Negaunee. A lower reservoir sits next to a large Marquette landfill. Still, it has a lot of waterfalls, especially in the last few miles as it gets squeezed near Marquette Mountain ski hill.
