Water spills from a retaining pond into a vertical chute a few yards from the dam's earthen wall.. A small park is located here on Lower Dam, with some small benches and parking area, and a metal walkway stretches across the chute. Lush green woods follow the sandy East Branch Ontonagon River downstream from the dam.
Note: while this is most definitely not a natural waterfall there are some hints that one is buried underneath the reservoir.
Directions
Leaving Sidnaw on Sidnaw South Road, turn right on Lake 13 road and follow it for 3.2 miles before turning left onto Lower Dam Road. Park near Lower Dam, about a mile south, and follow the grassy dam over to the park and 'falls'.
