Hiking Stories with Emily the Yooper

Emily was Katie's roommate in a small apartment up in Houghton for a year before moving into the Houghton house with Jacob, Katie, and Dave (and some other peeps, it was a big house). Originally from Marquette, Emily enjoyed the outdoors and came along on several adventures including a fall camping trip to Big Erick's.

With fall colors just starting to arrive in the Keweenaw Jacob takes a big group of friends for a circle tour to some of the area's best viewing spots (and some falls).

Jacob takes a group of friends east of Big Erick's campground to the Yellow Dog Plains to explore Pinnacle Falls and, eventually, the Marquette area.

First Visit to Canyon River Gorge

On a quick visit to the well-known Canyon River Falls on their way back from Appleton the group finds wet trails and impressive waterfalls.

On the way to Appleton the group makes a quick stop at L'Anse to find the upper drop of Falls River Falls. Oh, and there's a train!
