Impressive Gorge of Slate River

Slate River does have a number of interesting features - it flows next to the Arvon slate quarries, circles around the back of Mount Arvon, holds a few cool upstream waterfalls - but these pale against the downstream gorge. Outside of the old town of Huron Bay the river has hewn a deep, jagged cut in slate, forming an impressive gorge that holds plenty of waterfalls in its depths.
